The Grinch at the Old Globe

We have always wanted to see "The Grinch" at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego at Balboa Park. Well this year we jumped on it and bought our tickets early. We planned a fun night out with Connor and Courtney. We wanted it to be special so we all dressed up and went out for a nice dinner at P.F. Chang's. As we got up to leave, someone at the next table commented on what well behaved and attractive children we have! I couldn't agree more. The performance was amazing and a great way to kick off the Christmas season. Courtney absolutely loved all the songs and the way her face lit up after the opening act and song was priceless. It was really fun to be able to bond with our two older kids and focus some attention on them.

Thanksgiving in July?

I know what you're thinking. These pictures were from last summer. But, No! These were actually taken last weekend! The weather this fall in San Diego is the warmest it has been in the last fifteen years! We have had weather in the 80's since last spring. I wanted to put up this post so that I could torment all my friends and family living in cold places, but in all honesty, I am ready for some colder weather. Courtney has some darling sweaters in her closet with the tags still on and I am ready to put on my jeans. Anyways, I do love it in San Diego, but I am just too busy to enjoy it enough. We met up with some friends and played baseball and soccer on the beach, and my crazy kids even went swimming in the ocean. We had a picnic lunch and really enjoyed the sunshine!

Soccer Mom Times

All in all, soccer season this year was pretty successful. The teams were great, the coaches were awesome and the kids had fun. Connor got really into soccer this year and finally started scoring some goals. His team even won most of their games with Dad as the assistant coach! I missed a majority of the games because they were either at the same time as Courtney's games or they were during babies naptimes. Courtney cried after her first game because she hadn't anticipated what a real soccer game was like. By the end of the season she was scoring goals and was an animal on defense. She was definitely was one of the stars of her team! And no doubt the cutest soccer player that I have ever seen! So cute and yet so tough. Next we're on to basketball season for Connor and multiple days of gymnastics for Courtney!

Courtney was a bumblebee until mommy burned a hole in her costume. Then she became a butterfly fairy!

Connor the Clone Trooper. He saved up his own birthday and allowance money to purchase this special voice changing helmet!

Courtney is sooo cute

Connor had so much fun carving pumpkins this year. He just carved a giant hole in his pumpkin
Connor loved scooping out the "guts" of the pumpkin.
Halloween was a blast this year! We had a trunk or treat, school parties and a parade and then topped of Halloween with trick or treating with cousins and Grandma! Grandma made homeade root beer with dry ice (so so yummy) and homeade donuts just like she did when I was little! The kids got to trick or treat with their cousins and we got tons of candy. I am thinking about putting it all in a pinata at the next kids' birthday:)

Happy Halloween at Disneyland

We just love the happiest place on earth at Halloween! The park was empty and the decorations were so much fun!
